Mommy's getaway!

I was able to attend my 1st scrapbook retreat with a bunch of fabulous ladies at a cabin outside of Detroit Lakes called Pens and Needles.  It truly was the best little getaway a gal could ask for.  I was able to enjoy fabulous food without having to do all the cooking/cleaning, get a massage, sit in a hot tub, visit  without the interruption of my kiddos, and feel like I actually got something accomplished (34 digital pages completed - Yeah!!)  I can hardly wait to go next year.  Thanks to all the ladies in the picture above for such a memorable and fun time!
Yup.......something exciting happened while I was gone for the weekend.  Kage got into the Vaseline and covered the mirror and himself in it!  Thank goodness Kam was able to capture the moment so that I can scrapbook this picture soon!
By the way....some of you might be wondering why an almost 2 year old is still sucking on a pacifier!  I really do have good intentions to take it away soon.

Labor Day Weekend

Kasen asked me if he could "fix" the computer keyboard? They get to fix real appliances at daycare, and I finally caved and found something he could destroy!
I think Kage is going to be a "lefty", just like his Grandpa Larry. He is holding his screwdriver in his left hand and always throws and eats with his left hand. I guess we will have to wait and see if my prediction is accurate.

Krew spent the morning coloring while the other two "fixed" the computer. I think he spent 30 minutes coloring without a fuss. I couldn't believe that I was able to do laundry and unload the dishwasher without any interruptions!

Just chillin....and waiting for the fire to get started.

This was our big purchase of the summer. We still find ourselves going to the school park and resevoir park just as often. So....not sure it was needed.

Kasen kept asking if we could get the "poker stick" out so that he could roast a hotdog.

August pics!

Kasen convinced uncle Bryan to get in bathtub at the lake cabin. He even helped wash the boys
hair.
We have the BEST neighbors ever. This is our neighbor girl Jess and she has helped babysit this summer and the boys just adore her.

The annual Muscha family reunion at the lakes. Karoake Fun! The kids had a blast singing anything from the ABC song by the Jackson family to Fishin in the Dark to Jesus Loves me.

We actually took this picture before we went out to Looney Days in Vergas, MN for the night. Tim Mahoney was the band playing. We enjoyed the company of my brothers and their girlfriends, my friend Amy, and my Aunt Terri.

The boys getting ready for bed. Kasen likes to hang out with the boys before going to his room for the night. It usually turns into a tickle/wrestling match within 5 minutes and someone usually starts crying and then it is time for bed!!

Kage and Krew

Since all of my recent posts have been about Kasen, I figured it was time to post some pics of the twins! It is hard to believe that they will be 2 years old in less than 2 months. I am so glad I captured this moment because this does not happen often. Right now, they are constantly battling over toys and often found hitting each other. Krew actually is our biter, so he often leaves bite marks on Kage. We did try biting him back, but that actually made the problem worse! Any suggestions?!!

So, this is our little Krew. We call him Krewzer the Bruiser! He loves to put on everyone's shoes in the house and walk around in them. As you can see, he likes to put on our clothing. At least he gets the clothing out of our drawers and not a dirty laundry basket!!

This is Krew wrestling our dog Brickley. Now you can see why we might call him Krewzer the Bruiser!

This is one of Kage's favorite things to do! Racing cars.....we honestly think that he will be a race-car driver someday because he has absolutely NO FEAR.

Another picture that fits Kage well! He loves his toy guns.

We are definitely "Rednecks"! I am sure our neighbors think we are a little crazy. The boys often run around outside in their diapers and sometimes bare-butts!

Happy 4th birthday Kasen!

Kasen was very excited to have his "big" cousins from Wisconsin and his "little" cousins from Lisbon come to his birthday party!

Uncle Trey had a great time setting up the marble game. I remember playing with this toy for hours when I was little. However, they certainly don't give you as many pieces and the quality is nothing from the good old fashioned marble game from Discovery Toys! It was a hit anyways with the twins!!

We played outside games with water balloons. It is amazing how fast you can use up 150 water balloons. I wonder if I can find a company that fills up water balloons because it was ALOT of work and not sure I will ever fill that many water balloons up again.

Kasen just had to try out his new rollerblades and gear from Uncle Bryan.

This is the biggest walleye I have ever caught (5.5 lbs for those of you who care!). The picture behind us is the trailer we stayed in. Yeah, I found out there was a big mouse running around in the cabin the entire time. The boys didn't tell me about the mouse until the day we were packing up to go home. Good thing cuz I don't think I would of slept very well!!
I just love this picture. The innocence of a soon to be 4 year old!

Kasen was super excited to catch this perch using his Spiderman pole. Uncle Trey got all of our poles ready the night before since we didn't exactly come prepared to fish. Thanks Trey!

We had a great time fishing at State Line Resort with my dad and younger brother Trey. My lovely mother stayed home to take care of the twins so that we could give Kasen some extra attention. Kam and I felt really guilty about not bringing the twins with but knew that it would be too hard to bring them on this fishing adventure!
